This kind of thing happens a lot (we make the donuts so its a cheap thing to provide to generate attention). Old me would have hit this up several times today… New me didn’t even flinch and I’m 20+hrs into a fast. If that was a bacon and egg bar it would be a completely different story though.
We had a United Way fund raising week in Sept and we had a donut eating contest as one of the events… Insurance rates went up the next week (for real). I’m sure we have a ton of diabetics and pre-diabetics (guilty… or I was anyway…) and these events just make it worse.
