No weight loss and now muscle aches in legs

#1

Not sure the best place to post this. Been eating Ketogenic since May and doing a general 18/6 IF.
Have done a few 24 hour fasts not frequently. Haven’t really lost weight so decided to try doing 20/4 this week and just eating OMAD except for BPC in morning.

Have been feeling kind of crappy and exhausted during the week and today I woke up feeling worse. Just exhausted, sinus/migraine (could be related to weather and hormones). Not sure if I’m actually sick or something is going on with the way I’m eating. Now The back of my legs are aching.

I drank some BHB salts and felt better for a little bit- now I took a migraine pill. Hoping I can at least get rid of the headache.

I also noticed over the last few days the typical metallic taste in my mouth that I rarely have had over the last few months.

What’s wrong with me? :cry::cry::cry:

I should add that I do salt my food and drink electrolytes a few times a week but not consistently.

First guess: you’re just sick, flu, cold, sinusitis or whatever. Flu makes you tired and achy generally, possibly for you achy in the legs. I supplement with my own electrolyte mix daily to help alleviate night cramps. But it doesn’t seem to have much effect when I get sick. Eating raw ginger root might help.

If you really ‘haven’t lost weight’ and you’ve been eating keto consistently since May something’s not right. You need to ask advice from the heavy hitters (pun intended). Also, you may as well post it, because they’re going to need to know what and how much you’re eating. The more specific the better since something seemingly insignificant might turn out to be not so insignificant after all.

You might want to change the title of this topic to attract the attention of the people I refer to as the heavy hitters. They’re probably not much interested in muscle aches - but not losing any weight since beginning in May will get some focused attention!

Gotcha. I don’t usually get sick other than migraines but of course it’s’ the season.
Thx!

I get the metallic taste (but it’s also sort of sweet) when I’m super heavy on the protein and almost zero carb. I think it’s acetone but my brain is tired right now so I can’t site a reference. Are you staying hydrated? I find it’s easy to forget fluids, especially if I’m not eating as much. Pickle juice always helps me with leg cramps.

I hope you feel better soon!

Yes I’m totally hydrated. Yesterday I only ate 4 net carbs which is lower than my normal average of 15. Maybe that’s it or maybe I’m just getting sick and it just happened to correspond with my first foray into OMAD. Thanks!
