No longer in the dark

Disaster struck when I went to order more strips for my blood ketone meter - they were out of stock at Amazon where I’d bought them before. I found another supplier (and cheaper), but then it transpired that they didn’t have any either and didn’t know when they would have new stock.

I did my best to KCKO, but couldn’t help wondering if I was actually in ketosis, especially as my weight loss has slowed right down.

Well, the strips finally arrived yesterday, and I was delighted to find ketones of 1.5 before dinner and then 1.2 this morning. That’ll do!

Haha, yes I get paranoid about mine when I haven’t tested for a while. Then afterwards I feel greatly relieved by having a number. I have to trust that if my ketones went low, I’ll feel it. Or hubby will notice that I’m being “grumpy”.
