Nightmares! "One.. Two ...bready's coming for you"

So I am no stranger to nightmares. Most of my dreams contain zombies, vampires, plots of scary movies (I love horror movies). Latley, I have been having horrible dreams about eating carbs!!! Like last night I dreamt that I was forced to eat an icecream cake because I was trapped in a house surrounded by zombies; there was nothing else to eat! I woke up in great relief to find I had not eaten anything :disappointed_relieved:

I have had several of these dreams. I have never dreamt about food before; the zombies are a normal occurance. When do these dreams stop? Also what was your craziest carb nightmare?

Ketones on the brain make them more active and dreamier sleep is often a result. I think it’s pretty common for our fears to creep into our dreams so you dreaming of carby things is not surprising. I wouldn’t worry about it much as long as you don’t wake up and notice ice cream stains on your bedsheets.

I think I used to have really vivid dreams 3-4 times per week in my first month of keto. Now it’s more like once a week that I wake up and can remember intricate details of what I dreamt.

At first I was having really vivid nightmares about eating carbs too. In one I was at a social function sitting on the floor and eating crackers sobbing because I didn’t want to be eating them. :joy: The worst part was that I was wearing a dress lol. After about a month my dreams were rarely that vivid anymore. Mostly when I have anxiety about something.
