Nicaragua 10 days still in Ketosis

I just got back from 10 days in Nicaragua. I ate mainly beef, chicken, fish and pork. I only ate vegetables that we’re cured in a vinegar base. Cukes, cabbage etc. I had some beers and mainly KCKO’d. I got back last and just tested, still in Ketosis. I may have had a little too much protein, but I learned while traveling just do your best, and KCKO!

This is great to hear. I love to travel in that area but I know food is food in that area, much of the time. Plus I admit that home made, frsh tamales are more likely a downfall for me than ice cream or cake or most of the other common keto “triggers”. But on the bright side, go to the Mercado and go exploring, you can probably find anything. Just make sure it’s cooked properly.

Chicharonnes! The stores all have them. Not many other snack choices. we went to Maxi-Pali (Wal-Mart) and did some menu planning. We have a house on the west coast and I ate great there! Just a little planning and KCKO and you can travel the Keto way. (KCKO for those times when food has a sauce, or that Tona Beer.with carbs!) Works!
