first week detox is the hardest. Your energy will come back. Dont cheat! Try to stay away from sweeteners and the cravings will go away forever. i wouldnt touch berries or nuts when i started and now i eat them all the time and stay in keto. In fact i have not been out one day since i started a couple years ago. Best advice i can tell you is start being aware of everything you put in your body. Lots of tricky veggies out there. I also suggest running away from fat bombs and sweet deserts i cal Keto junk food. This is where people would fail on atkins. They just substitute carb garbage for keto garbage. Try to be as HEALTHY keto as you can.

welcome though. Its a life changer.

Welcome! Hope you’re starting to enjoy some of the Keto benefits by now. The Dudes are fantastic as are many of the conversations that can be found on this forum. You’ll find lots of great tips and advice here, but the key thing to remember is to “do” Keto your way. Everyone is different and what works for one doesn’t always work for another, be patient with both yourself and Keto and you’ll be kicking goals in no time!!

My fear coming into this is was the fact that I love to bake sweets and eat them. Pasta, bread, rice and potatoes I can live without but my baked treats were a part of my weekly life and I’m just trying to learn how to live without my baking. To me keto is a lifestyle not a diet. I can see how easy it I see to slip with keto desserts. I will stay strong and not give in. Thank you for the advice!

I’m definitely learning a lot and figuring out my way of doing keto. I’m trying to help my husband as well. Hopefully maybe one day he’ll even join the forum so he can learn a lot too!
