New here ... got right into ketosis

So are you saying LDL is not bad in my case as I am on Keto ??

just for context , my levels before Keto were:
HDL : 92
Triglycerides : 65
LDL 99

Now :
HDL : 95
Triglycerides : 48
LDL 161

@ctviggen you seam to know what you are talking about ( unlike my dr. ) but I find this hard to believe that his LDL levels arenon-related to a high ( saturated ) fat diet / keto and therefore not dangerous

Your LDL level by itself has very little to do with your CVD risk. If your LDL becomes highly oxidized, it does present risk, but it has to get into the endothelial wall. Usually, that is accomplished by the same thing that caused the LDL to become highly oxidized - high blood sugar - which causes the endothelial cells to misfunction and the glycocalyx to become compromised. An oxLDL>200 is much more predictive of CVD(like 90%) than the LDL level alone.

Ok just a quick update… I have been trying to go alot lower on saturated fats and my LDL went from 161 to 130. Feels very satisfying to see results.

At the end of my 4 Months of Keto I’m very satisfied with at least the looks. I have lost 20 LB and finally have a 6-pack again. I decided to incorporate some light carbs not before and after my workouts. … I’m still little afraid the this might cause some higher body fat, so I will be very careful and also start sprinting again.
I will give updates here.
