I have a lot of respect for Gary Taubes and he stays true to the facts and does not give in to bias. When Perlmutter pushed Taubes on the harmful affects of artificial sweeteners Taubes pushed back that there was not a absolute connection and this was a area where more research needs to be done. The same was said about the micro bio.

posted this to my own FB page so i can go back and listen!

Yeah, I’ve heard both Gary Taubes and Dr Jason Fung push back on the micro biome hypothesis. I find that very interesting.

Love his skepticism. A healthy scientific attitude.

 Which is why we need to be careful when people come out with statements like “the science is clear”, or “the science is settled”.

Scientists like anyone else are human beings, and science always needs to be interpreted.
