Negative carbs?

#1

Hey all, wondered if someone could help, when I look at nutrition labels, I’ve noticed sometimes the net carb value goes into the minus, eg the cocoa powder I buy is 0.4 carbs per teaspoon fibre 1.2(I think or 1.1) so how does this work? A ground up roasted seed can’t have negative carbs

There are no negative carbs, of course. But labels may list the net carbs. By the way, labels aren’t always clear. Here in Hungary, there is net carbs and fiber but sugar alcohols may or may not be listed(? I buy so little food with labels, especially plant stuff where not all carbs are sugar that I use my memory from long ago).

Given your spelling of fiber, are you in the UK? If so, the carbs listed on your label is already net carbs.
