hi I started the keto diet july 25th I have lost 10lbs. I ordered ketosis pee strips I tested 4.0 I was very happy with results. now a little distgured now because test strips are showing negative reading. however I’m not going to stop this way of eating but have a question not very active was wondering since appetite isn’t that great anymore can I just eat 500 caloies a day high in fat and still remain in ketosis I.

When did you start? You say July 25.
Surely you don’t mean 2017? Perhaps you meant June?
If June, it’s possible the dip in ketones is simply you’re body using more of them for actual energy. But I would examine what you’re eating to see if there aren’t hidden carbs that could be kicking you out of ketosis.
Pee strips aren’t very reliable other than telling you if you are or are not in ketosis.
As far as calories, 500 is way, way too low. You will damage your metabolism if you do this. You could start trying some fasting. Try fasting for one day then feast the next. Make sure you’re really eating on the days your feast. No restricted calories that day. If you do this on/off fast/feed every other day it’s called ADF or alternate day fasting. This is far better for your metabolism than restricting calories every day.
You are NOT eating enough, I don’t care about any other factor! You’re going to wreck your metabolism! You need to start eating more, appetite or not! This is when the eat to satiety goes out the window and you need to get your metabolism healthy.
