Need some help I’m 41 5’8” and 260 lbs. Before I started The diet I used To eat stupid amounts of carbs. Drink alcohol 2-3 Times a week. About a month ago I start To get fed up. After talking with my father who has done Keto diets and Adkins for the last 4 years. He highly suggested I try It. So I have been Scouring the web for information and got started.
I started Adkins based diet/ Keto about 10 days ago. I went Into ketosis around the morning of day 3 using test strips. I cold Turkey cut drinking alcohol.
Typical day of eating
Breakfast
Omelet with 2 eggs 3 strips of bacon and just a few sprinkles of cheese. At most 2 table spoons. By going off the calories on the packages this is no more then 450 calories.
Lunch
Salad mostly spinach about 1 1/2 cups lite Italian dressing. Package says 1 carb. I use About 2 table spoons. I add Some meat to the salad. Either 4 ounces of ground chicken or beef cooked. 300-400 calories depending on size
Dinner
Typicaly it’s something like a 1/2 cup or less of grilled red orange peppers. And either a small steak 6 ounces or. Mix peppers and ground beef 6 ounces or so.
I have Counted my calories a few times and on most days I come In around 1400 to 1500
On top of the above I have Been drinking about 4 liters of water a day from day one. I have not cheated once with anything. I have have seen amazing progress in appetite suppressant. Mental focus is through the roof. Have more energy then I have In a long time. Have had a few digestive issues watery stool but that can be normal starting out.
The most concerning thing to me is I have not lost a single pound not one . I want see if there is something I’m doing wrong.
