Need Some advice

Hi all. I have been keto for almost a year now, so I think (know) I am well fat-adapted. Every now and then (for instantance yesterday) I don’t eat keto. I don’t indulge in junk food or sweets and cake, but I eat some white rice, or potatoes, or bread. What would be the best strategy to get back in fat burning mode; start the day with bacon and eggs and eat a nice keto lunch and then dinner, or fasting for about 16 or 18 hours?

(I am healthy, no issues with insuline restistance or diabetes etc.)

Thank!

Exercise helps with glycogen depletion. That’d be my go to recommendation other than fasting and eating more fat

I’m echoing what @JorgePasada said. If you can, exercise fasted and do a quick 24 hour fast and you’ll be good to go.

Dr. Fung emphasizes the ability for fasting to “right the wrong” of indulgence. Not that it should happen all of the time… but it’s a great strategy you’ve decided to indulge. I did so this past week after having some gelato at the beach. I fasted for 24 hours after and went right back into ketosis

I get back easily simply eating protein/fat. I don’t fast and have no problems getting back into ketosis.

I just get back on track and carry on with keto.
