Hi, I have suffered from mouth ulcers only on right side of my mouth for years. On complaining to my dentist he suggested I only used sls (sodium lauryl sulphate) free toothpaste which helped straight away. On looking up what sls can do to vulnerable people it amazes me that it can be an ingredient in toothpaste so wondered what other horrors were in it. I decided to stop using toothpaste and instead use coconut oil and bicarb or just water. I do not suffer any more and am trying more natural toothpastes as well, at the moment Aloedent which is ok for me.

Avoiding foods with the amino acid L-argenine is also helpful (nuts, corn…)
