Hi!
I have been on keto since March 11. I love love love this way of life. I also love coffee. I have been adding unsweetened almond milk and 2tbs of HWC. I have no complaints, but I would love to know what your thoughts are. Thanks so much!!

As far as coffee goes, there’s nothing wrong with what you’re doing. Keep it up and welcome to keto

Perfect. Especially the HWC! If you are achieving your goals, all good.

However, if you are trying to lose weight and you hit a stall, some folks swear it’s the dairy. Just be aware.

I have tried just the almond milk and I just can’t do that by itself yet. I will skip the hwc though if it becomes a barrier. Thanks!

Thank you!

I’ve always loved some cream in my coffee but I greatly reduced the amount I was adding. If you are having 3 cups of coffee per day along with six tablespoons of HWC, that’s around 300 calories of mostly fat. If you intend to lose weight, it’s best to spend your calories on food you can sink your teeth into, IMO. I would try to lower the amount of cream for sure.

Yeah I lost all my inflimation markers when I can’t put all “keto friendly dairy” I just do almond milk, salt, and stevia

Luckily I only drink one cup a day…I just need that boost in the mornings. Thanks for the reply!

Is hwc a keto friendly creamer? I’m still learning and researching!

(less is more, more or less) #10

True, that. YET, I include diary (high fat diary, that is) without problem towards my health goals.

Your mileage will vary, and there’s only one way to find out.

Yeah I personally have no issues with dairy. This all appears to be genetic. If using HWC works for you, by all means continue to use it.

(Cristian Lopez) #12

Yes it is in moderate amounts! But for some like me “dairy” is the devil, Horrible gas, acne, lethargy, and bloating for me after I eat cheese or hwc. I don’t react at all towards
whey isolate or ghee so those are things I use once or twice a week.

Interesting…I haven’t had any type of reaction so far thank God!
