Instead of my usual 80-15-5 macros I decided to try an experiment this week and had an unexpected result and I would like to see if anyone has had similar results. So for 5 days this week I have had zero carbs and fibre. I have had 500 calories of MCT decaf coffee in the morning. For lunch I have had a tin of smoked herring or sardines 40 grams of protein or less. Later in the afternoon I take swigs of extra virgin cold pressed olive oil from California (the good stuff). maybe another 500 calories worth.
Results were that my ketones went up and I lost weight faster than usual. Also it took 5 days to have a bowel movement and that took a good 20-25 minutes. Stools were soft and took a long time to be excreted. I think the diet affected my GI tract because there was no fibre. Just all fat and 40 grams of protein. Has anyone else done this and had similar results? Thanks and I hope I didn’t gross anyone out. LOL
