Natures Bounty

Is it worth a try taking nutrient supplements found in supplements such as Natures Bounty or some similar supplements containing nutrients found in fruits and vegetables?

Pardon my ignorance but what are the essential nutrients (from fruits & vegetables) you lack in how you’re currently eating?

I would avoid any product called ā€œNature’s Bounty.ā€ It’s no doubt my cynicism talking, but I can only assume that, with a name like that—an obvious marketing ploy—the ingredients have to be the cheapest industrial sludge the manufacturer can get its hands on. Though it would certainly be nice to be pleasantly surprised, I doubt that’ll happen. :frowning_face:

Nope…. There are no nutrients in fruit and veg that we can’t get from eating fatty meat. And we get those nutrients without the plant toxins.

They’re most likely fine, but Natures bounty is a cheap brand unless something has changed. Not gonna be any worse than any other, I’m a supplement snob, with multi’s I usually either go with one that’s got all the better forms of stuff vs the synthetics, or a whole foods based one.

No? Meat will give you B3, B12, Zinc, Iron, Potassium, Phosphorous, Selenium, Chicken has some Copper I believe Even if I’m missing some which I sure I am that leaves quite a few.

B1, B2, B5, B6, Biotin, Folate, A, D, D, E, K, Calcium, Chromium, Magnesium, Manganese, Molybdenum, Phosphorus.

If you’re going to use supplements, I’d choose some from more ethical and better quality brands before going for Nestle-owned Nature’s Bounty:

It seems you both say meat is enough and we don’t need fruits and vegs :slight_smile: Well, homo sapiens in general, some people do need some plants too for some reason.

Nope, I never said either one of those things. Feel free to quote where I did though… I eat a lot of meat, a lot of vegetables and supplement.

Nah for me. Carnivore for 6 yrs and feel fab. Best I ever felt but I can say, if you feel ya need for whatever reason, take a multi vit if ya want. body will use what it wants, pee out the rest it don’t need ya know…I can’t see it hurting ya but I also don’t ā€˜know if you need it or it will help ya’ in truth. I dumped all supps about into mo. 3 of carnivore and never looked back but I also in the yrs on plan have never went to the Dr and got a ā€˜vit and min. bloodwork’ report. Don’t feel I need it. So do you on a multi vit as you feel ya need. You would be ok on it :slight_smile: It would just become a personal decision for ya. All of us have opinions on ourselves, you do you on this one.
