My restart keto journey

#1

Hi fellow ketoers, I am 21yo, female, from Malaysia. I am 160cm tall and weight 60kg. The purpose of this post is to record my keto weight loss journey and my overall ups and down on keto. I actually stumbled on keto diet this year July and started off right away, however, unfortunately I fell back to my old eating habit that loaded with carbs and sugar after a month trial. Nonetheless I had had great experience with keto diet combined with intermittent fasting (one meal a day appraoch) and calories controlled, I shedded 7kg! My lowest weight for years and I felt amazing, many of my friends and family said I looked better in shape .

Besides I did felt more energized and didn’t take any naps during that time. But due to my miserable self control I went back to the arms of carbs, gained back all the weight and finding it difficult to go back to keto ever since, tried but failed, i hate that :pensive:. I wanted to be 53kg again and even lower! So starting tomorrow I will be fasting for 48 hours to try to let my gut rest for awhile and kick myself into ketosis in a faster rate. My goal is to reach 48kg by next year February (before Chinese New Year), so wish me luck

Oh by the way, my typical keto meal consists of fresh pork (belly, ground meat), chicken thigh and sometimes breast, bacons, sausages, coconut chia pudding with sugar free jam, eggs, sometimes avocados, keto bread, cheese, and lots of keto-friendly nuts and veggies. My typical keto dipping sauce is mayo and cheese sauce. I dont do beef because I am a Buddhist but I know they a great source of fats. Above are mostly what I will eat while doing keto, so wish me luck! Hope it can last longer this time. And I hope you experienced ketoers could give me some advices on how not to fall off the wagon again hehe. Happy keto everyone!

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #3

Hi guys, thanks for the support . So today i broke my fast at the 40 hours mark with some nuts, then some steam egg. One hour late i had my proper dinner which were pan-seared chicken thigh, fried egg and a fish cake with peri-peri hot sauc and mayo. My net carbs for today was about 15g, i felt good with this number hehe. I dont have a scale so I can’t weight myself after the fast but it will mostly be water weight so i dont mind, just doing it for kicking in ketosis faster. Since i have quite some times of fasting experience so it was easy, will keep it up omad and keto diet, can’t wait for real result
