My new Saturday keto thing

(Scott) #1

I have settled in to a pattern of drinking a cup of coffee with a tablespoon of MCT oil. Checking this forum since I canceled the morning paper ($400.00 a year was just too much to pay for a fish wrapper). Then I get into my running gear and go for a fasted 4 to 6 mile run while listening to the latest 2 keto dudes podcast. I guess I am just into keto these days.

good solid start to the day @Rclause

I love to lay in bed, sip on coffee, and look at this forum

(Scott) #4

Normally I run before the sun comes up so daylight is a bit of a switch.

Thanks to keto I wake up at 6 am on Saturday. No more sleeping in and very occasional naps for this gal these days.

On Saturday I have coffee (sometimes two!) and breakfast and then find something comfy to wear and hit the thrift stores in search of this weeks project or material to make clothes. Especially now that I’m changing sizes! Today I am also sewing a silky sleep cap for a gal at work with really long hair who wants to try one.

She ought to put the sleep cap on before she goes to bed, and walk around with a candle in one of these:

CandleHolder

Gimme that old-time religion.

:rofl::rofl: Oh the visual!!

Instead of a white cotton one, she gave me an old silky night gown and so she’s getting a black shiny one.

(You've tried everything else; why not try bacon?) #8

So that’s Saturday sorted. You then go running on Sunday, you say?

I’m now considering if I should keep paying that much money over a year for yesterday’s news and a crossword puzzle…

(Scott) #10

After getting the paper daily for 38 years it not as difficult as I thought it would be. I figured I might as well do it as I see that my local paper probably won’t survive another year or two.

(Carl Keller) #11

Same for my newspaper. They’ve already eliminated the Thursday and Saturday editions without reducing my monthly fee…While I don’t paying a little out of my pocket to support a local business (on life support) that provides a public service, I don’t see it making a difference in the long run.

Thanks for bringing this up. I believe I’ve paid my last month.

Sounds like a great plan, Scott! I do something similar, but I can’t run any more (Infantry blew my knees out)…So I walk 6 miles a day with my wife, listening to audio-books together. What a great life!

Thank you, walking should never be underestimated, is great exercise.
