@Ely

Please keep us updated how she is doing once she makes the changes! We certainly want both you and your daughter to succeed on your Keto Journeys =).

Consider listening to the two-part interview with April Ihly on Keto Woman podcast. Her method/protocol might be helpful for your daughter.

I’m sorry I haven’t kept updating. She is following everyone’s advice. The tracking app has become her best friend! I think her face looks smaller but she refuses to get on the scale. She is doing total carbs which is very difficult to keep under 20g, but that’s what she wants. She no longer eats the chicken chicken salad. Instead egg salad. Thanks so much for your concern @pample @Momof5 @Kage. Her mood is much better as well. These past couple of weeks have been so eye opening.

That is awesome, I am so glad =).

(Katie) #65

That is wonderful to hear! I think that staying off the scale will be good, if I may say, and less stressful. Focusing on the mood benefits and the body form/shape changes (you said her face is slimmer) is definitely a good approach!

Susan, this sounds pretty decent!!!

(Ellen ) #67

I’m going to try this too. I already have all the ingredients

(Susan) #68

I don’t make it myself --I buy it at Costco – I was just reading the ingredients off the bottle and typed them out -the one I buy with those ingredients is Chosen Foods Avocado Mayonnaise. I am sure that you could make it yourself though, that is great if you do =).

Oh. Okay thanks

Alas, for me, I can’t eat raw sauerkraut. I can handle fermented pickles, but raw sauerkraut does something to me. On the other hand, I can handle cooked sauerkraut and cooked cabbage.

Cooked sauerkraut is pretty nice too, with some sour cream… It’s popular around here, with some meat and other stuff but I always skipped the meat and the rice and ended up with some cooked sauerkraut with some fat and sour cream, I usually make it to a dense soup. Lovely. I was a huge stuffed cabbage lover as a kid (that’s a traditional and very very popular Hungarian dish) except I didn’t eat the meat and the rice or just a bit, I focused on the cabbage, fat and sour cream… If I do that dish in the future, I will use some delicious fatty meat, that should work nicely.

That sounds so good Shinita. I have to start adding some different recipes to my meals. :blush:

oooyummm…I put butter in mine the other day (new for me) and now I’m going to do the sour cream! Thank you for that idea!!

And, I’ve been thoroughly enjoying this thread! @Ely Good Luck to you and your daughter on your continuing success!
