My “comfort food” AND a message to the “Keto police”

Well…today I was a little but depressed because I’m going on my fourth month not being able to go to the gym (for medical reasons) so I decided to make me some comfort food.

Funny thing though is that my idea of “comfort food” has changed. Before it would have consisted of a run down to the store to pick up some Debbie cakes, chips, ice cream, and candy (i also used to do this when I was a bodybuilder :joy:) but now my comfort food is simply keto food…as much as I want on THAT day :joy:.

Today’s comfort food is beef patties cooked in bacon fat with a side of broccoli and onions also cooked in bacon fat (I’ve been carnivore but changed it up today :joy:).

Keto is SOOOOO HARD!!! :joy: :joy: :joy:

P.S.- AND just to check in with the Keto police out there who have to point out things that THEY think is sans Keto like the amount of protein that is on my plate EVEN though my macros on this plate ACTUALLY 80% fat 15% protein and 5% carbs (just being facetious since I don’t give a rip what they think :joy:).

Get a life and quit messing with people who are trying to find their way. Our job should be to encourage, POLITELY correct (with care and love), allow for others differences in their keto journey, and support them NOT bully them into YOUR way of doing Keto (as long as they follow the tenants and even then…chill and be respectful.

We are all different. One person may require more fat and less protein and another the reverse on their keto journey but as long as they eat the foods on the list, eat fat, and keep the carbs at 20G or less LET THEM LIVE and so it their way within the guidelines.

I so agree! My cravings now run along the lines of a juicy ribeye, rather than sweets.

Hope you enjoyed your comfort meal. Looks yummy (except for the onions; don’t care for onions in any quantify). :slight_smile:

People just haven’t realized that eating protein doesn’t kick you out of Keto. Hardcore science to back that up. Looks super yummy

And it was. I can actually eat as much protein as I want and not get kicked out so I don’t worry about the haters out there. When they are 51 years old we will see if they can bench press over 400 lbs like i still can before they yack at me about unnecessarily dropping protein :joy:. Thanks and be blessed!
