More tired doing the 16 hour fast

So I’ve been trying to do more intermittent fasting. I have been eating at 1pm and no later than 8pm since Saturday. Maybe it is just because my body has not acclamated just yet, but I have been more tired and moody, especially at work. And since I am eating two huge meals you would think I am not hungry but like two hrs after my first meal which usually is about 800 calories I am feeling hungry. Am I doing something wrong? And I am def hitting my macros daily.

Get plenty of water and electrolytes. You may want to do it only on the weekend so it doesn’t affect your work performance. At least until you get used to it. I’d also try to wait until dinner to eat if possible if you’re getting hungry after your 1pm meal. I find that as soon as I eat I am hungry and snack for the rest of the day so it’s best to wait as late in the day as possible and even do OMAD.

How long have you been keto? Fasting is much easier when you’re fat adapted, and that can take a couple months. Don’t force it because it’s something you think you need to do. It come naturally for most when you’re system is ready.

Thanks. I have been on keto for two yrs. But have never really wanted or liked intermittent fasting. So I would just eat three square meals a day. And I would fast maybe a few times a month. I’ve recently been trying to fast daily to help with my gut issues and excema

Okay thanks. Idk if I could eat all those calories in one sitting though. You do not find it hard on the stomach to eat that much at once?

I eat a few courses spaced out but just try to not eat until 5pm or 6pm. Usually eat a second meal around 8pm.

Maybe try eating breakfast and lunch, making sure they’re good size meals, and see about skipping dinner.

Other than that, just keep practicing. The fasting muscle is a real thing.

Yah I tried the dinner skipping. That was way worse. I guess I really just hate being denied food. Lol. I guess I’ll just have to keep practicing

Try skipping breakfast, but still do a bullet proof coffee, or coffee with cream in the morning. That can be enough to calm hunger, but still get most of the benefits of fasting
