I’m pretty much new to keto been on it about 2 weeks. I am getting mixed answers when it comes to whole milk. Am I allowed to have it or no? I bought some low carb granola from a Ketogenic website and I’m wondering if I can have it with a type of yogurt or milk
Milk?
Whole milk can be carby.
Good yogurts, live culture types, can be very good assuming they are plain and unsweetened. A nice base for a lot of things, and the live cultures actually reduce the carbs over time.
Read labels and check serving sizes.

I made some of this mostly for my wife because she likes granola. I’ve never had much time for the stuff. “Gravel” is about all I thought it was. But when I made this, I found myself reaching for it several times. It’s really good.
I was never a milk drinker so don’t use it much. I use heavy cream for my coffee. Plain Greek yogurt does work pretty well with the homemade granola and the yogurt does usually give a nice amount of protein.
One thing I really like about the recipe is that you can alter it if you maybe don’t like sunflower seeds but maybe do like macadamia nuts by swapping them out. That’s just an example. I wouldn’t mess with the total amount of nuts in the recipe but wouldn’t hesitate to swap which nuts I put in. (Hope that made sense.) When I made it, I didn’t have enough almonds but had more walnuts and pecans and some macadamia nuts I wanted to use up. I also didn’t have any sunflower seeds so just added that much of another nut. It came out just fine. Good luck if you give it a go. It’s not hard at all.
If it’s ACTUALLY milk, than your going to have more sugar in it than you want to have. Why are you focusing on foods that you don’t really eat on keto? Let go!
Milk isn’t an ideal keto food, I’ve learned to substitute unsweetened nut milks. You can find some good ones, I like almond and cashew.

That said…
I mix heavy whipping cream with water. Just make sure it’s homogenized, which most are.
Tastes just like whole milk.
