MFP Communities UGG

OK, I must say that while I love the functionality of the site overall when it comes to tracking, am I the only one that feels like banging my head on a wall reading the forums?

I mean, I get it that the Ketogenic Forums are preaching to the choir so to speak but I swear that every time I decide to wade into it again on MFP it is just the mind numbing “keto/IF” is just “a fad” or “unsafe” or “unproven” or whatever. It is all about CICO being all there is to it no matter how you try to debunk it that is the mantra.

It wouldn’t irritate me so much, I think, if it weren’t for the fact that new people are truly looking for information, good information and when they are repeatedly spoonfed that information they end up - in so many cases I am sure - trying more traditional diets that don’t work and put them in a worse place when it is all said and done because now the only reason they know is that THEY must have been the reason for the failure.

I’ve been avoiding the Fitbit forums recently for this very reason. Not worth the headache.

Personally I keep very quiet about my nutrition lifestyle choices, much like my personal views on religion.

Unfortunately those two concepts can be one in the same for many…

I focus on my direct circle and answer questions when asked while avoiding the “you should” approach all together.
