Metabolism

So I’ve been wondering if I have a slow metabolism, I know it’s not fast. I am asking for myself and also for my girlfriend who has been doing Keto with me. She has a crazy amount of headaches every week and I read somewhere it has something to do with thyroid, she has also told me in the past that she has an under active thyroid I believe. She has been eating way less and less since we started doing keto about 4 weeks ago. I worry a lot about how much she eats. She always says she’s not hungry. Which I understand because it’s also hard for me to get hungry at all.
Does not eating enough slow metabolism? I read that it does and then I read a post of someone fasting and also repairing metabolism
I am wondering what steps we can both take to find out where our metabolism is and how we can repair it. Thanks!

Not metabolism. Your electrolytes are out of balance. You are experiencing Keto Flu.

Also fasting causes some hormones to increase that prevents you from slowing your metabolism. Constantly eating small amounts does slow you down, eating lots and fasting does not.

She was having the headaches before we even started doing keto.

Yeah I did some more research as I waited for response. I think I might start fasting.

Ok, maybe she was deficient before keto as well. You can get tests to check vitamin and mineral levels. Might be worth checking.
