Merry Christmas!

#1

I think Santa has already done the rounds in the lands where kiwis and kangaroos roam, as well as Asia, the Middle East, and touching on eastern parts of Europe.

Merry Christmas! I hope however you spend the day you get something out of it.

I’m hoping when Santa drops down our chimney tonight he leaves me a sack of bacon. I’d be tremendously happy with that (although @OldDoug wouldn’t be, that’s like a quick snack in his kitchen).

Post pictures! What did you eat?

Merry Christmas. I just got home from the family party at Grandma’s (gigantic Italian Catholic family).

I skipped dinner and snacks and ended up eating 8 Buckeyes. I’ll be back on the wagon tomorrow and plan to sleep in a carb induced coma tonight (night sweats and all). For those not from this region:

Mmmm…buckeyes. PB and chocolate is almost the only sweet combo I enjoy. I think they would be too sweet for me now but luckily they are not here to tempt me!

Ya know. I favor savory over sweet 99% of the time… but peanut butter and chocolate definitely appeal to me. I am not a chocoholic so can enjoy small bites w/o triggering a binge.

My husband keeps 85/90% dark chocolate bars around and I just broke off a square and loaded it up with creamy peanut butter for a rare snack. One was enough and it was heavenly.

Merry Christmas!! I hope everyone has an amazing day with friends and family, and that we all take the time to realize the true blessings and to give thanks for all we have!! Stay safe and best wishes!! I am so grateful for this forum, everyone here has been a great source of support and I know that whenever I need anything, Keto related or not, I can come here and find the help I need!!! How great is that?? God bless!!

Lol - I did the same thing. I’m good for a while now. So far nothing in 3.5 months has triggered me back to SAD. Happy about that.

Merry Christmas today to those who celebrate! :christmas_tree:

Merry Christmas everyone!

Lunch today was Roast Lamb with Rosemary, roast potatoes (yep), gravy, cabbage, broccoli, beans, and pumpkin. Gluten free Christmas Pudding, with Bundaberg rum flavoured custard, HWC, & Cherries. Plus snacked on a few chocolates (not too many), pomegranate juice & fruit. So a complete blow out of my carbs (119g) for the day but totally worth it.

Feeling full but good, ketones shot to hell (0.1mmol/L) and BGL is coming down (5.2 mmol/L). Sorry no photos because I ate the evidence.

Same as Terry, roast lamb, I skipped the potato but I’ve had nearly two bottles of sparkling Tasmanian wine (Jansz, I’m guessing that has the same amt of carbs). I’ve had the most lovely day, ate too much, drank WAY too much, don’t intend on weighing myself until New Years. Merry Christmas to those who have helped me in this most amazing journey!

A little over a decade ago, I was visiting MD Anderson Cancer hospital every 6 weeks for blood work and follow up care after thyroid cancer. It was a very humbling experience to realize I was a part of that community. Today I am 9 months into keto and am happy to say I have really found my niche in this forum, this community. I am humbled daily by people’s experiences, support and advice on how to achieve to my wellness goals. It is incredible that for the most part we may never meet in person, but I feel like all of you are my community, my tribe, my family. May you all celebrate what is dear to you. May the gifts of the season: kindness, benevolence and love always be there for you all. :gift:

Same as any other day. It isn’t time to eat yet, but my sweetie and I will have leftover curried ground beef. Then I’ll have microwaved eggs with cheese and he’ll eat lots of junk.

We had a nice quiet day and ate a huge indecisive dinner (it ended up being a mix of roasted vegetables and chicken, steak, and hot pot). Didn’t miss any of the traditional stuff that I’d have been all over this time last year.

Now frantically packing before we travel for a week, then hoping for an even quieter end to the day once our daughter is asleep.

Similarly here, cooking most the day and even trying out some new stuff as well. … I’m off work until January 2nd, so will mostly just taking a break. Which simply means I will be working around the house.
