Meds and keto among other things

I was just wondering when you take supplements or Meds without getting sick to your stomach when on a fast? I seem to do better when I don’t eat very much…once I start I don’t want to stop. Just starting 6th week…any suggestions? Thanks for any support I sure need it lately😕

I take losartan on a fast. You need to take your necessary meds, and some may require food or fat

I take metformin, which is notorious for causing nausea if taken on an empty stomach. So I dissolve two tablespoons of unmodified potato starch in enough water to take all my pills and supplements (both morning and night). It shouldn’t affect blood sugar or insulin. I’m not sure if it affects autophagy or not, and it hasn’t been researched, but my instinct is that it might only temporarily halt it, at worst.

Thank you I will check into that. I think a big fear of mine was getting sick from taking on a empty stomach…now if I can just get this overeating under control. I knew I was enjoying those keto bombs a bit to much.

I take pain meds and HAVE to have a little bit in my stomach with them (even though they aren’t real strong ones), so I eat a half a celery stick or a pc of cheese. Not a “pure” fast but I still get the fat loss results I am after.
