Is there a way to measure your insulin response to foods, rather than your BG response? Listened to one of Jimmy Moore’s podcasts today and they mentioned that you can have an insulin response, but not a BG response to foods. How can you tell?

I don’t think there’s an inexpensive home test (like a blood glucose meter).
A related question: what sorts of foods would provoke an insulin response when there’s no elevated blood glucose? So far I’ve been alerted to some artificial seeeteners, notably Ace-K (a.k.a. acesulfame potassium). If there are other foods I’d like to know.

Some dairy products elicit insulin response without significant blood glucose response.
