Maybe fell out of ketosis/fat adaptation?

I definitely have these days too… For a few days last week, I was hungry hungry hippo. Eat eat eat. This week, not so much. I would give it some time.

I forgot - do you test your ketone levels?

no ma’am

Interesting.

Do you know what your rate of protein consumption is? How many grams protein per kg lean body mass? Closer to 1 or 2 grams per kg?

(eat more) #24

in kg closer to 2…in pounds closer to 1

my lean mass is an estimate based on 3 different methods that aren’t super accurate and could be underestimating my actual lean mass…no dxa in my future

I looked up “Bod Pod” testing in Southern California, and this place says they do it for $45 for a single test - not as good as a DEXA, but might give you the information you need to confirm your suspicions.

thank you sir
a local crossfit gym is having a hydrostatic truck come out for one of their challenge weigh-ins and i’m hoping to jump in on it
i tried to get my gym to bring one in (at no cost to them) and they saw “no benefit”

How long have the sleeping/temp issues been happening?

(eat more) #28

2-3 days at most

(Mike W.) #29

For what it’s worth, this sounds exactly how I felt about a week before I became fully fat adapted. After that, the sleep got better and now I can goes days without eating. Sometimes I forget to! Also it took me over 2 months to be adapted.

let’s hope!
the sleeping/temp thing is super annoying especially since one of the things i’ve told ppl is that i “sleep like a rock straight through the night” when they ask what i like about keto
the hunger thing…like a good ketoer i’m gonna up my fat…,and not worry if i’m doing it “right”
