Hello I am new to this forum and have been intuitively keto fasting for years but decide to take to a more formal level.
I am an avid faster and do 3-30 day fasts often - I have recently broke a 14 day fast and decided to keep keto after my last fast not eating more than 60g carbs - which on average is around 40 - but I would like that to be much lower.
I wanted to ask some questions. My macro calculations say I should be eating around 1661.7 cals a day - but with my fat, I sometimes go over… and once it was like 3000 cals all up. (I’m 52kg and 5’6’’ - so thats quite a bit. I have naturally always loved fat and I’m not too keen on carbs. But I am worried about going over my cals - does this effect my keto? will I stop burning debris?
Also, on the days I get carried away with my fat, the next day my body tells me to instinctively fast for a day or sometimes more… I get a bit bloated (but not like nasty carb bloat, more bloated in the liver area) and a little bit puffy in the face. Is this bad?
is eating more that 200g of fat a bad idea? (my protein never exceeds 40g/160cal or between 6-9% of my total cals for the day)
Do I need to slow down on the fat? Do I need to drastically reduce my carbs?
Is my bloated/full liver feeling a bad sign?
I notice that pineapple and dandelion tea help with this feeling.
Can someone help me out? and do I still bother counting my macros?
