I’ve checked 10 different calculators and gotten 22 different answers… help!

Hi Suz,

I don’t use a calculator.

Net Carb < 20 g/day
Protein < 50 g/day
The balance in fat to my energy goal.

My doctor told me “moderate” protein which he defined as 0,8 g/day per kg of lean body mass. I just took my target weight, 165 lb, assumed a body fat at that weight of 15% and calculated my protein macro goal to be 50 g/day.

I follow the 2ketodudes style:

Carbs <20g a day
Protein 1-1.5g per kg of lean body mass
Fat till you’re not hungry.

Has worked very well so far.

I agree with other comments here, don’t let perfection get in your way, just eat less the 20g of carbs, and moderate protein, and add fat to satisfy

Or if it’s easiest for you, do it in phases - couple of weeks getting used to carbs under 20g, then move onto getting your protein right, then adjust fat intake bad needed. There’s no need to jump straight in and make it perfect straight away.
