Macro trivia

First: I have gradually made spreadsheets on google with collections of the primary things I eat (proteins, fats, produce, etc.) that has all the macro breakdowns for the most basic keto stuff, at least in my world. I’m happy to share that if anyone is interested. All the info is from USDA with a little bit from labels.

Second: I thought of this because I found this on facebook and realized I don’t yet have a breakdown of different kinds of onions and their carbs.

Ww, I didn’t knew there are so huge differences - but I am not surprised very much.
I was always uncertain about green onions as they have green parts and those are probably different… And it’s using that weird metric unit. I would think green onions are lighter in the same volume…

Fortunately I don’t need to care on my carnivore-ish lifestyle, I do eat onions but very little. They are quite sweet for me now and I don’t like when my savory food is sweet. A little in my stew, that’s fine.

Very pretty imagine. I always loved onions and variety and wood…

Thank you for that!
:disappointed_relieved:there goes my roasted shallot with my steak

Odd as I always thought the yellow ‘candy’ onions would have the most carbs. Go figure.

I’m surprised the white have more than yellow, too. Red veggies are all higher carb than other colors of the same thing, I think. id like the per shallot breakdown. It might end up being a good choice since it is easier to use less.
