Macro Assistance Please

(Garry (Canada)) #1

I’m trying to switch up things from having Eggs every morning…

If someone here has a premium APP …could you please input the following #'s and tell me the actual %'s of P/F/C are. The free Lose It app only calculates based on total carbs.

I’m not in the position to give Lose It APP $40/year, so any assistance would be Ketoappreciated.
Thanks.

Here’s this mornings breakfast
150g Greek Yogurt
2TBSP 35% Whipping Cream
28g Pecans
15g Chia seeds

Total Fat = 53.3g
Total Carbs = 22.5g
Total Fibre = 9.3g
Total Protien = 14.9g

Total of 618 Calories.

Hi Tom,

Net Carbs = 22.5 g - 9.3 g = 13.2 g

Just subtract the fiber grams from the total grams of carbs. That is a big breakfast.

I would not worry so much about macro percentages. Just eat only incidental carbs … net carbs < 20 g / day and moderate protein. What then of your fats? Some of the fat that you are using is from what you are eating and some of it will come from what you ate in the past, your stored body fat. If you are thin and don’t have a lot of stored fat, then you will need to eat more fat, exogenous, if you have vast deposits of stored fat on your body, then you will still be burning a lot of fat even if you don’t eat much fat, endogenous. Either way, your true macros percentages for each day reflect not only what you are eating, but also what you are deriving from what you ate in the past. If you don’t feed your body carbs and a lot of protein, your body will have no choice, a joyful choice, but to burn fat, the fat you eat and the fat you have stored.

Keto for Life!

Best Regards,
Richard

Thanks Richard,

Using the above meal #'s and calculating based on the Net Carbs:

F=480cal
Net Carbs=52cal
P=60cal
Total Calories using Net Carbs is 592.

Based on 592 calories:

Fat 480/592=81%
Net Carbs 52/592=9%
Protein 60/592=10%

Would these #'s now be the correct Macro evaluation/calculation?
