So ive been pretty much stalled on keto for like over 2 weeks, my weight hanging around 300. My thing is though, I do intermittent fasting everyday. I only eat two meals which are small. My calorie intake is around 1200 on average. Lots of time less. I know calories aren’t as important on keto but I barely eat and yet I’m not losing weight at all, as of today ive gained 2 pounds; which is probably just water. Im just confused on how im doing keto and fasting and yet im stalling. Im wondering if maybe my BMR has lowered due to such a calorie deficit despite being in keto? I don’t know if that even a thing. If so im thinking about eating 2000 calories with Alternate day fasting. So one day eat 2000 calories (keto) and fast the following day. Will that help boost my metabolism? Im just wondering what the issue is.
Lowered BMR in Ketosis?
A stall is typically a period of 4-6 weeks or longer.
A 2 week stall is not a stall, as weight loss is not linear.

We can’t really help without some more information regarding yourself and your diet.
The basics are: control carbohydrate—keep it under 20 g/day; prioritize protein— 0.8-1.5 g/kg of lean body mass/day is in the right range; and fill with fat—in other words, eat fat until you are satisfied.
Your problem is most likely that you are not eating enough—it’s paradoxical, but the body hangs on to its excess fat until it is assured of an abundant supply of energy. Eating more fat is not some mystical keto thing; it’s simply the safest source of calories, because carbohydrate stimulates insulin secretion, and so does protein (at about half the rate), and the goal is to keep insulin low, because it’s the fat-storage hormone.
Carbs are a strict limit, but protein is flexible, and fat is to bring up your calorie count. If insulin is low and you eat enough calories, your body will set your appetite to a level that will allow you to burn both the food you eat and your store of excess fat. Make sense?
