LowCarb Denver!

I’m so psyched to be at Low Carb Denver! I met Richard Morris just now. (Carl is cooking up a storm for a dinner I’m not invited to-thanks boys—-JUST KIDDING!). I get to slum it at a steakhouse with the IDM folks! So fun to finally meet Dr. Jason Fung, Megan Ramos and Brenda Zorn IN PERSON too! I’ve been a long distance IDM patient for over a year.

And it’s been a rough year—I took care of my dad on top of working full time while he declined and then died 4 months ago. I went off the keto reservation for a bit but am happy to be back to keto + fasting. 10 lbs flew off in the last few weeks and changing my body composition is now the main goal this year. I gained 9.5 lbs of muscle according to my DEXA scan over the past year because of consistent HIIT workouts with heavy weights too! But I need to get to 30% body fat or less in order to avoid a cancer recurrence per my docs and that is doable in the next 11 months or so. I miss my dad but glad he’s not suffering now. So it’s all good; life’s ups and downs happen. Love all the studies and science here at the conference. It’s just awesome. Keto on everyone! Hey I get to FEAST with Dr. Fung, Megan Ramos and their IDM crew tonight! Freakin’ fantastic. Looking forward to meeting Carl in person tomorrow!

I just have to say I’m jealous. Been tracking #LowCarbDenver on twitter via some searches and one of my twitter lists for keto_health https://twitter.com/DaddyOh/lists/keto-health

Seems like so far it has been info packed. When it is all over, let us know the 1 or 2 things you learned that surprised you or provided confirmation on this WOL.

I think I’m pretty surprised low carb high fat cardiologists exist and are out of the Low Carb Closet if you will.

And at the IDM dinner, I was moved by the dedicated MDs from all over the US, Canada, Brazil and Switzerland who work with Dr. Fung for their patients’ benefit.

I was the first patient to be featured on Fung’s podcast in September 2017 and I was VERY touched to learn my diabetes and cancer journey helped some folks.

The scientific confirmations that this WOL is beneficial for people like me are too innumerable to list. I suggest watching the livestream-it’s super informative.
