I basically live on (usually fatty) protein sources. It makes sense to me especially on very low-carb.
I cooked mushrooms today. It was fun to collect them in the forest, I made many photos, they are so beautiful… (I am no great mushroom photographer though )
I don’t feel any desire to eat them though. That’s in the past.
But if I wanted them, I would eat them easily, they aren’t very carby and they don’t harm me. I just don’t feel the pull at all.
(Fruits, on the other hand… It’s good I enjoy them without eating too, I don’t ever need or really crave them and a tiny is enough anyway. But I have months until my first fruit season.)
Do you think perhaps you’re just not absorbing the extra fats very well?
I use all the calories just fine as far as I can tell. But different things have different satiating effects, it’s true for almost everyone as far as I know.
