Low back Pain when roll over

(Kalahas) #1

Dear all

I am 47 yrs, current weight is 203lbs down from 220lbs .I am on Keto diet for the last 2 months and following all the macros as needed. I am at avg 10gms of carbs everyday and follow 8:16 hrs of eating/fasting. For the last 3 weeks I am having severe low back pain only when I roll over to left/right on the bed or when I am getting up. There is no pain when sitting or standing… I have done a blood test and kidney function test too and all’s well on kidney side. Any one have info on this situation, please let me know or point to any forum topic. Also i do 15 to 25 min of Yoga every morning which gives good relief, but in the night the problem comes back for some time. I wanted to check here before I head out to chiropractor. Kindly advise
Regards

If I had to guess, I’d say your problem might be something your chiropractor can take care of. I’ve had my share of lower back pain and every time I leave the chiropractor’s office, I wonder why I waited so long to go see him.

I have this too now, I think it might be from lost fat changing the way my body lays when I’m on my side, my spine feels like it’s bending too much. Put a pillow between your legs, or try to sleep flat. I was advised to sleep flat because I have a leg amputation below my knee and when I am on my side my knee wants to bend. This causes shortening of the tendon behind my knee over time and makes things tighter. I have gotten lax with sleeping on my back and am trying to get back in the habit. But I often roll on my side during the night. Sometimes waking in the morning with a sore back, only to be relieved by getting out of bed and moving again. Ageing sucks! :cowboy_hat_face:
