Losing too much weight, what to do?

Not myself yet :grinning: I’ve got a ways to go before I personally need to be concerned with this… But my GF is concerned, and told me to go on and ask… She’s already signed up here, but being shy I think :slight_smile: lol

Anyway, she’s never really been overweight… As high as 125lbs, (when not pregnant) She is only 5’1"
So she has been getting back to Keto again, weighed herself this morning, and was down to 105 ! She says she doesn’t want to lose anymore weight, and I agree ! She looks great just as she is. But she really just prefers eating keto. And that helps me a TON with my Keto eating too !

What can she do to stop her weight loss ? More fat bombs ? I’d say, just eat more… but she’s just not a food hog like I am. I’m constantly telling her, “Oh geez, that’s a kid size serving”… Then, if I put her plate together, and she thinks it’s too much, she will just spread out the extra between the 4 dogs… urggg.
What to do about this little lady !?!?

She should try & include more of the foods that people EXclude when they’re trying to break a stall. Nuts & dairy are a good place to start.

Wow, I wish I had her problem (I still have 100 or more pounds to lose, wish I could transfer it to her for her to lose for me, haha).

But seriously… maybe get her to increase her protean and fat intake, and yes, Fat Bombs or maybe Keto Coffees might help =).

Lots of people eat more fat in maintenance in order to not burn what body fat they have left. Fat bombs might help with your fat intake. Have you checked out the maintenance threads? :cowboy_hat_face:

I’m having this problem as well. I think I’m maintaining and then find I’ve lost another pound that doesn’t return. Not something I ever thought I’d be dealing with.
I eat nuts, dairy, and try to include adequate fat. I’m almost thinking maybe eating more often to have insulin turned on more often may be a solution. Don’t know. Let us know how she does. I was heavy though and probably insulin resistant pre Keto at least. Dropped from about 200 pounds to today’s 118. Went from a size 16 to a 6 or 4 now. 5 ft 6 and a little too ribby. :thinking::blush:

Thank you Bunny. It is nice to have reached goal and having all the good health benefits of eating real and healthy foods but enough is enough. I don’t want to lose any more weight.

I would say KCKO and eat to satiety.

IMHO the body is a finely honed end product of millions of years of evolution. If fed the right nutrition, kept active, and properly served, the body will carry what it knows to be a healthy amount of fat/muscle etc.

Maybe evaluate what is “too” thin through that lens?

Wow, Wendy, 200 pounds, what any inspiration, encourages me =) I still have over 100 to go and this forum is well saving me atm, as my family is not encouraging any weight loss. so thanks for all you awesome people. Wendy, you are a star =).

OMG, don’t tell her to eat more nuts ! She often snacks on nuts all freaking day ! :grin: Lol And she eats a bunch of cheeses of all kinds, plus heavy cream…

I hear you, but even I think she doesn’t need to lose anymore…
I spun her around yesterday to take a close look and I was like, yep, you look great. But didn’t know what to tell her, but to start eating more…

Thanks and I am sure you can do this! But I didn’t lose 200 lbs, that was my starting weight. But there are others that have lost that much on Keto. I’ve lost about 80.

Oh sorry, I misread! 80 is still fantastic =)). I am only at 36 pounds down now (from this morning’s weighing, which I am not doing again for another week!).

That’s still great! I’ve been Keto /low carb for about a year and a half. I hit my goal of 132 around December, I think. I thought if I lose another 10 no biggie but it just keeps slowly dropping more. But I believe that if I eat the junk I use to eat I’ll feel like I use to feel, and I don’t want that.

I can not speak from experience. my SW was 135 Kg, now 100, hoping that my body gets to 70 eventually. If I get there and keep dropping :open_mouth: - new paradigm.

All I can hypothesize - our body is “smarter” than us, and it is best to let feed it right, and let it go where it knows it needs to go.

I don’t want to lose any more and there is a point where too much is too much. I’ll add a picture to show what my ribs look like. I still have some body fat in my thighs but not too much and at my age more loss I really don’t believe would be good.

Wow, I haven’t seen my ribs in like years… I can certainly see why you have met your goal and want to stabilize.

I hope that you can figure out how to do this =).
