I once lost around 100 lbs about five years ago via a different way of eating. I kept it off for about two years until a life crisis struck and I gained it all back (seemingly distributed in a different way than before).
Now I am losing again on Keto but the fat is coming from odd places. Well, the places are not so odd but they are scattered. My upper right arm has lost more than my upper left. My fat under my chin/on my neck has all come from the left side and not the right. My legs are losing at a disproportionate rate also.
Has anyone else experienced this lopsided rate of fat loss on Keto?
Losing from odd places
That is a head scratcher… let me ask a clarifying question.
Are you the creation of a Dr Frankenstein type mad scientist, constructed from the body parts of multiple donors? That would explain the significant variations…
Sorry, that is not very helpful.
I hope someone has better information.
It is like a kind of harlequinism for fat loss. Totally odd, but I am sure there is a person out there who has an answer.
Sometimes new born babies flush pink on one side of their body, with a very marked line down their midline. Totally harmless, but weird to see, it is called harlequin something or other… I have seen it two or three times in my old career, in a NICU.
As for uneven weight loss, I guess your dominant side may show signs sooner, but for a scientific answer, I have no idea.
Thanks for your input, Anne and Rob.
Rob, I am from another planet but Dr. Frankenstein had no part in it. lol
I kinda have a similar issue with my legs, it’s not super noticeable, but definitely a difference. This happened before keto though so I don’t believe it is to blame, it’s genetics.
