I have been pleasantly shocked every time I get on the scale these past 3 or 4 weeks. I’m about 3.5 months into this way of eating and I was losing VERY slowly for the first two months. But lately, even though I’ve allowed myself to eat more carbs than I was eating in the beginning, I am losing weight faster than ever. Is that typical once you’ve become fat-adapted? It’s wonderful, but I certainly didn’t expect that nice side effect. I figured being fat-adapted would mean I’d be less hungry and would be able to eat a lot less but even though I am allowing myself a few chocolate treats a night, I’m losing faster than I did when I was sticking to a strict 20 carbs.
Let this be an inspiration to newbies… if you can hang in there, it DOES get easier and the weight falls off with seemingly no effort!
