Just listened to this and Dr. Cordain says a lot of things contrary to what I have thought about the keto woe. ie. about magnesium, potassium, salt (we eat too much) cheese, etc. etc. What do others think?

I think Paleo is not keto, nor is it intended to be. Ketogenic conditions are a different milieu from what most nutritional research studies, so it is not surprising that he has reached different conclusions. I also don’t know how well Cordain has kept up with the new research, because the studies showing optimal sodium intake, for example, all came out in the past few years.

Hi, yes, I realise he is coming from a different viewpoint but as Mark Sisson is now embracing keto I am surprised that he is featured. Sometimes I don’t know whether I am coming or going with all the different views!!

Welcome to the wild and wacky world of nutritional science!

His thing is paleo. I only know that if I ate less salt and took less magnesium, I would never get to :poop:

Keto doesn’t work well for some people. As long as they are happy with their results, who cares what they eat?
