Hi Everyone! Does anyone know where I can get some info about how to raise HDL? My cholesterol was “perfect” until I started keto. Now my HDL is really low and my LDL is getting higher. Tri’s are super low. I’m trying to keep that ratio below 5.0, so I need to raise my HDL. Any thoughts? Thanks everyone!!

Increase your saturated fat, by avoiding seed oils (canola, corn, cottonseed, etc.) and cooking with butter, tallow, lard, and bacon grease, which are mostly saturated and monounsaturated fats. Fruit oils—avocado, coconut, and olive—are also richer in saturated fat and lower in the inflammatory polyunsaturates.

There was a drug in the works a few years ago, but the side effects were so nasty that the pharmaceutical company gave up trying to get it approved, apparently.
