Looking for advice - Bad results on NMR (particle), would you stop Keto on a trip?

#1

Got my NMR test results today and they’re not good, LDL-P 2210, Small LDL-P 1107 so both are in the very high risk range. Been doing keto 8 months, down 55 lbs and haven’t felt this good in years.

With these numbers I’m thinking I probably need to get off keto ASAP. Problem is I’m on a business trip not returning for four days. Changing my diet could probably wreak havoc on me on this trip I’m thinking.

Anyone gone through anything similar? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. These results have me freaking out.

Saw your other thread and aside from the bad reading on small cell LDL , your other markers have improved from your previous report and since that previous report did not address particle numbers there is a possibility that those improved too.
I understand the numbers making you nervous as they would anyone but drastic spontaneous action is usually not the best choice. Wait until your back home and allow yourself to calm some and make a more thought out decision.
I also would respectfully suggest that going back to an old diet WOE’ing has already given you expectant results by reversing your numbers that were improved back into the negative direction again. What other option is available?

@mtncntrykid - Thank you for your post. Yes you could say the numbers made me a bit nervous, you could even say they freaked me out.

I’ve been doing some reading on here while eating dinner (see below) and I’m shocked at how many people had numbers similar to mine and worse.

After all the reading I’ve decided to continue doing more research and as you say, make a more thought out decision. Any input that anyone has on what that decision could be I’m open.

So what did I have for dinner? Bun-less bacon cheese burger, some buffalo wings, and a side salad with blue cheese dressing  Hopefully I’ll be Keeping Calm and Ketoing On!!!

Thanks again Ron.

Someone posted on Show Me The Science recently, about how some people don’t do well or their cholesterol numbers don’t seem positive on a ketogenic diet. I believe it was this, by @atomicspacebunny https://peterattiamd.com/rhondapatrick/ somewhere around the15 minute mark.
