Lightheaded feeling getting worse

(Bunny) #41

I experienced the light headedness or dizziness many times even tingling in the hands, fingers and feet and toes but sometimes it can be difficult to pin point exactly what it is because it could be possible that there is more than one cause or a combination of causes happening at the same time which can be real scary? (freak-out-time …lol)

Being aware of all of them is key, I narrowed mine down to POTS syndrome and not enough caloric intake for my level of physical activity and spaced out eating windows which was dropping my caloric intake to 0 for to-long-of-a-time (which is like actual or mimicking long-term or extended fasting).

Dr. Berg talks about some of this and the associated symptoms below but it could also be low blood sugar, adrenal fatigue (e.g. POTS syndrome) or anemia (rare, which you would probably be subsequently aware of if you have it?). But if you think your magnesium, sodium and potassium levels are adequate then something else may be the cause or a combination of causes?

Usually the low blood sugar symptoms dissipate the more you fast with time and practice.

Lightheaded on Keto & Intermittent Fasting?

Dr. Berg explains why you might be light headed on keto and intermittent fasting plan. The reason is a low blood volume and pressure issue so now that your not retaining fluid from the carbs any longer the new way to keep the fluid is to add sea salt to your water. Make sure you keep taking your, potassium and electrolytes then the light headed feeling will go away.
