Let's talk bacon

I’m thinking all of the Keto food porn you keep posting may be the 3rd.

What would you have gained if you won the bet?

(Guardian of the bacon) #44

Nothing…that was my point. Other than the satisfaction of not letting the other person enjoy bacon for a week.

the dog lol there’s plenty to go around in my house

Maybe the dog tripped him? I know my dog will definitely get underfoot for a piece of bacon.

(and yes I know this thread is old, but I’m just now finding it for some reason)

Don’t forget the bacon end pieces you can pick up pretty cheap at Trader Joe’s. Last night I put 4 packs in the cart and my husband is like, what are you going to do with that? I’m like, does it matter? It’s bacon!

Does pork belly count? I have about 4 pounds of cooked pork belly in the fridge. We ate one of the sections this morning and it was heavenly.

Okay I have an obsession with finding SUPER FATTY BACON!!!

I search for bacon that is mostly FAT! Which can be hard if you can only see one side of the bacon, i.e. oscar mayer brand packages.

I recently found Wright Thick Cut at Sams. Can see both sides as well as edges of both sides. I would estimate I can pick bacon that is 60-70% fat. It comes in different smoked flavors and is absolutely delectable. Come in a package with 2, 2 pound packages. About $6 total.

Why not just eat pork belly?

Did you hear about the bacon that was in the hospital and trying to get out, but the doctor wanted to keep it for another couple of weeks?

“But doc, I’m cured!”

(Carpe salata!) #57

I was on a cruise and ordered bacon and eggs.

Three available sides were:
“American bacon”
“Canadian bacon”
“English bacon”

Yeah tempting…

Bacon with a side of eggs—YEAH!

(mike) #59

Bacon skins without the potatoes! Why have I never tried this before?

Had this the other day and it was awesome!

(Ernest) #60

This is the only bacon I purchase.
I’ve tried Costco European etc. I come back to Wright Brand.
Oh it’s good and thick!

Looks fantastic, but where are the chopped green onions?
