Let’s place obesity in its proper place in what’s “killing” our kids

I’ve seen many of the same people who “crow” on and on about issues that affect children feed their children and their entire family that matter complete meals full of crap. I’m not speaking of people who can’t afford good food either…I’m talking about the rank and file who CAN afford food but choose to fill their families plates with junk because it’s easier than taking a few minutes to prepare real food.

Now I’ll get “Ron, I don’t have time. Ron, you don’t know how it is. Ron, I don’t have the money, etc” BUT let me tell you something. I’ve had a hard life ESPECIALLY growing up so those excuses fall on deaf ears with me. I can come into the most impoverished home and IF the family is willing I can show them how to not only survive but THRIVE on real food that costs the same or in most cases even less than what they are paying for the junk that is leading them down the road to nutritional death…I’ve done it…and the people who I’ve helped (I know that you’re watching this) can attest that IF you are truly wanting to change and IF you will “dig in” you CAN DO IT!

Will the adjustment be easy? Probably not ESPECIALLY since like drugs these high sugar, high carb, highly processed foods are very addictive and much like an addict to drugs there is an adjustment period BUT I and others are living proof that it can be done.

If you don’t think that these foods are addictive I challenge you to stop eating them for two weeks…the very thought of not having sugar, carbs, soda, sweet tea, etc., is a nightmare for most people EVEN for those that have weaned themselves off of the stuff like me (at times)…THIS is (in my education as a “drug” advocate while in the Army) is the very definition of an addiction or at the least a serial abuser.

Unlike drugs for MOST people this does NOT mean that you can never have those foods ever again but UNTIL the addictive behavior is corrected through “real food eating” and weaning the body off of them the struggle WILL be real yet there are many avenues and MUCH more educative material that can be found now to help all who want to try to heal their bodies through eating real food.

I know that this sounds a little “preachy”…SO WHAT? I’m in the business of telling the truth and it’s up to the reader to either receive it, realize that it’s not relevant to them or their lifestyle, or move on and continue life as is. Simply put…IF you don’t have an issue or you disagree move on BUT IF you are suffering from health issues, or you family has a history of one of the many metabolic health issues such as diabetes, heart disease, obesity, etc., and IF you have a desire to try to “stick around” for your family and friends for as long as possible lifewise then it would be a prudent move to at least investigate the possibility of utilizing real food to heal the body instead of simply going to the doctor and getting a “pill” (as Pres Obama said…still mad at him for that statement) as that is not the solution and is only a temporary fix.

Economically what I’m saying makes more sense also SINCE a family’s medical costs would dramatically be reduced and the burden. To prove my point I’m always amazed at the outrage in the country right now at the “cost of insulin” while I’m over here shouting to the top of my lungs that the cost of insulin for almost EVERY diabetic would be reduced NOT by legislation or by the philanthropy of drug entities BUT by simply by the diabetic cutting out sugar and other carbs.

This sounds simple and it is since drastically reducing sugar in the body reduces the need for insulin and over time the body will adjust and IF the regimen is sustained over a period of time the need for insulin can greatly be reduced OR as it has for millions around the world be reduced to zero since the person has literally become nutritionally non-diabetic and as long as they follow the lifestyle there is little to no need for insulin…I’m living proof…and my “doctor” who for years insisted that my diabetes was “incurable” and would be with me forever is and has remained floored that for almost three years now after being diabetic or pre-diabetic for almost 15 years and on numerous medications NOW have remained in a non-diabetic state and EVERY marker for my health has drastically improved to the point that my bloodwork is not akin to a 52 year old but to that of my former 25 year old self though there are still a few underlying issues that remain due to my 49 years of eating the standard American diet (SAD) so IF one of these causes my mortality to falter it would be from the 49 years of eating crap and NOT due to the keto lifestyle that saved me from sure death (I was literally dying before keto).

WOW…didn’t mean to be so wordy but this really hit me so be blessed and IF you are willing I and others are willing to help you with resources to help and all you have to do is put the work in to reclaim you and your family’s health. In the beginning it won’t be easy BUT IF you stay the course I promise that you won’t regret it!

Peace and blessings from the Father!

Notice I basically said the same thing yet no mention of the other stuff that everyone hijacked the post with. I pray that this is received better and I’ve asked the admins to delete the other post as it devolved into a debate that I did not intend. People saw the meme and went nuts :joy:
