Left bundle branch block and mild regurgitating valve....benign

heartdisease

(Mary) #1

Ok, starting this lo carb/ keto journey I have a LBBB and a mild valve regurgitation discovered at a heart doctor in 2016…I am FINE…I love feeling well and having more stamina…

25 to 30 lbs to lose…but I am feeling so good…
Anyone have suggestions about how to be vigilant…I’ve learned to make sure I have the electrolytes, and I check my blood pressure…I’ve had no episodes of heart rate problems…

I am not on any cholesterol meds. I take my fish oil daily…
cholesterol has been wonderful since losing the first 30…blood pressure too.

Yeah, I guess I sound a little fearful…but, feeling good…that should be enough of a verification that this is a good way to go.

Did the doctor say which valve?

Mild valve regurgitation is actually normal, so don’t sweat it. Most people have that.

Best wishes in dealing with the LBBB, as that has more challenges…

just stay in touch with your Dr, if they dont think you need to be seen more htan 1-2 times a year, you are in “monitoring” status and are essentially just like everyone else.

(Ethan) #5

Yes…though if its aortic regurgitation, there is a chance the aortic valve is bicuspid, which is a condition that requires monitoring.

(Tom Seest) #6

Yes. Hopefully, if it is; they’ve checked for that.

I’m paranoid and monitor all of it anyway.

I don’t trust doctors. I was diagnosed with regurgitation as a child. They found my bicuspid valve 30 years later.

That’s enough to make you paranoid…

I consult two cardiologist because I’m worried that one might miss something.

Now I’m thinking I should add a third…

Dang, i guess i should go look that up. …
