Left ankle swelling

At the beginning of my keto life style change i was obese at 259 lbs at 5’5 tall and 44 years old and i had high blood pressure, pre diabetes…hear now a lottle over a year i am no longer pre diabetic or have high nlood pressure and i have lost 40lbs… however i still have a slight case of edema on my left ankle…although it has improved over this last year and i am still concerned over it…does anyone have any suggestions

Have you considered a food allergy you haven’t pinpointed yet. We ha a similar problem when my husband and I started keto. It took a few weeks to find out the majority issue. He still has a small amount of swelling but currently pausing the id mode to allow the body time to adjust. It can be a time task unless you maybe deal with testing at a doctor’s office. Start with major allergenic foods first, again slower is better or you may think you have more problems than you actually have.

If you are looking for a possible treatment while you look for a root-cause solution, you might find some useful videos by going on YouTube and searching for “lymphatic massage.” It’s a gentle process that helps the fluid move out of the affected area.

Please also get some blood work done, if you have a means of getting it done. Edema can be a side effect of other metabolic derangement with other organs like thyroid, heart, kidneys, etc…
