Lbs. vs. inches

(Christine Benvenuti) #1

Hello from CT!!!

Ok, i started my journey 3 weeks ago, and feel great!!! I am down 7 lbs so far. I am wishing I had taken beginning measurements because I know things are changing.
My question to you all…especially the ladies is…

What have YOU found to be your INITIAL rate of loss, and the best measure of your results…weight or inches?

I am in this for the long haul, and don’t want to get discouraged in any way!!!

Thank you, and may God Bless your journey!!!

You and me both… I have a meeting today and just realized that absolutely every pair of my dressy pants are entirely too large. At least I’ll have time to go get a pair prior.

6’0", was 235 in August of '16… down to 185 today. Never thought loosing weight could cause a problem!

@CarblessChrissy congrats on your recent 7 lb loss. Hang in there! It’s very common to slow way down after the first water weight loss.
I do use the scale, 1x or 2x / week, measure monthly. But my real measure is the mirror & my jeans.
Where are you in CT? I’m in Woodbury.

Inches! Short & long term. For me the weight loss was maybe 1 lb/week, but I dropped pant sizes much faster!

  1. Ignore the mirror, ignore the scale, pay attention to your pants.

  2. Never compare yourself to anyone else’s health journey. Ever.

  3. How you feel is the point. Do you feel better overall? Keep doing that.
