I am 5’2.5", 23, 45-47 KGS (it’s changing everyday. EVERYDAY. I feel like my weight machine and measuring tapes are playing a nasty prank on me) and I need to lose my last ten pounds. I’ve been on keto for nine months now. I eat around 15000 calories a day, keep my carbs below 25 grams. My scale oscillates everyday. I was down to 42 before the holidays but haven’t been since. I’ve given up dairy. And initially lost a little weight but it seems unstable now. Please tell me what to do. Freaking out here. I think I still have the flu. I am not fat adapted yet I guess. Don’t know how long that will take.
Last ten pounds
Try extended fasting. It seems to work for many. Start slow. 24 hours and work your way up. Check out the extended fasting category.
I have found if things are not working is because I’m wrong and need to rethink things
Your thinking weight loss when you need to think body re-composition
KCKO (Keep Calm Keto On)
i just ate a lot of keto friendly food but i bet i crossed my carb intake limit. what is wrong with me?
I’m certainly no expert, and I also live in the US so I had to google “47 kg to lbs” but at 5’2’’ and 103 lbs at your heaviest, I would bet that your body is settling into a “happy weight”. I forget where I saw this calculation, but “ideal” body weight for some body types (certainly not ALL) would be 100lbs + 5 lbs for ever inch over 5 feet which would put you right around 110ish. Obviously this calculation isn’t perfect and there are a million exceptions I’m sure, but as a general guideline (keeping the size of your frame in mind), I don’t think it’s too far off, especially to make sure you’re not underweight. If you’re not happy with body composition, maybe try some weight lifting? Regardless, I wish you luck and remember not to let that scale define you!!
Thank you so much… Don’t have any gym around me, that’s the most unfortunate part. I’ll try HIIT from tomorrow.
By some inexpensive free weights or fill a gallon jug (or whatever you guys use) with water and lift that. There are plenty of exercises that rely on body weight, planks, push ups, pull ups that do not require any special equipment
I was getting ready to say the last ten pounds are the hardest and you could try going zero carb for a few days … but then I realized your KG conversion is 103 lbs and that is really tiny for 5’2… why do you want to lose any more weight???
