Hello ladies
I’ve been on keto for 5 days… weighed this morning being 0.5kg lower. I’ll admit i was very disappointed as my brother has dropped 4 and my friend 2.5. Is it possible, being premenstrual, that my bodies holding on?
Ladies opinion please
Women will be/are successful on keto.
Men see quicker results, we are a bit different.
Yep, you could be holding water.

Angelique,
When I first started, the scale didn’t move quickly, but I had to find smaller and smaller sizes. The scale eventually showed me what I hoped to see.
Also, watching my husband’s daily scale victories showed me the profound difference between m/f.
You will love this.
Aside from fluid retention , men’s bodies have more muscle and muscle uses up energy.
Just stay with it and don’t compare your results to anyone else. Every body is different. And yes, being premenstrual can cause temporary weight gain. I would gain 3-5 lbs right before shark week, then would drop the weight. You may want to put your scale away and take measurements. Sometimes you can lose fat and gain some muscle in which case you may not see a change in weight but would see a change in measurements.

Yes i agree with u… comparing is wrong.
I do measure and weigh, but will i lose cm if im not exercising heavily?
Women also have much more hormonal healing in their bodies to take care of. Often, you body will wait to drop pounds until it is finished taking care of internal struggles.
Exercising has little to do with weight loss, most of it will be tied to weight. Exercise has lots of benefits, but weight loss does not really top the list.
A great resource to read would be The Obesity Code, which does in depth about myths such as counting calories, exercise for weight loss, ,and how the body actually loses or gains weight.
Yes. There are some people who don’t exercise at all at first when starting keto and still lose. In fact Ive heard it suggested that you should ease up on exercise until fat adapted.
